Anxiety:

Anxiety is another word for nervousness, or being stressed out, worried, scared, traumatized and panicked. We become anxious when we consciously or sub-consciously perceive that we are not in control of our lives and that our psychological or physical survival is threatened. We all experience anxiety at some time in our lives and we typically can handle situations or experiences which create anxiety. For example, life changes, pain and fear are common causes of anxiety we are all familiar with. Problems can arise when anxiety is very intense and/or chronic. It can cause many medical conditions as well as affect our mood and day to day functioning.
