Sexual Abuse:

Sexual Abuse has been estimated to occur in 1 of out of every 4 people. That means in the United States alone, there are over 78 million individuals who have been sexually abused in some way during the course of their lives. Females are abused more than males, but the results are the same for both genders: an increased incidence of anxiety, problematic relationships, depression, and PTSD. Cognitive therapy and EMDR have both been shown to reduce the incidence of these disorders resulting from sexual abuse.
